To achieve our vision, we are searching for a High School STEM Curriculum Writer Consultant with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Master’s degree preferred, and at least three years of experience with a proven record of developing rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum that drives strong student outcomes.
Project Scope & Responsibilities:
Design full-course curricula for high school STEM subjects (e.g., AP Business with Personal Finance), including scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plans
Develop high-quality instructional materials, including:
Ensure alignment to New York State standards and Zeta’s academic vision and outcomes
Embed inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding, and opportunities for analytical thinking and problem-solving
Design assessments that measure both content mastery and application of skills
Collaborate closely with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and other curriculum writers to ensure coherence across courses and grade levels
Use feedback from educators and student performance data to iterate and improve curriculum materials
Engagement & Compensation
We are hiring for a 12 month project-based consulting role with an immediate start date. If selected, this role would be offered as a 1099 independent contractor engagement and would not constitute an offer of employment.

About the Role (your why)
The Learning and Organisational Development team at Datacom is passionate about empowering our people to grow, learn, and do their best work. As a Learning Experience Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating engaging and impactful learning content that enhances capability, promotes continuous development, and drives business performance across the organisation. You will collaborate with the Manager – ANZ Learning and Organisational Development and a cross-functional team to design and produce modern learning resources that enable employees to succeed, stay safe, and thrive in their roles.
Please note this is a 6-month fixed term opportunity.

What you’ll do
At the moment, as Learning Experience Designer you will be focused on:
• Designing and developing multimedia learning content including e-learning courses, videos, animations, infographics, and interactive learning elements.
• Applying instructional design principles to create effective, engaging, and goal-oriented learning experiences.
• Managing multiple learning projects simultaneously to ensure high-quality deliverables and timely completion.
• Communicating and promoting learning and development initiatives across the organisation.
• Conducting user testing and leveraging feedback to improve learning materials continuously.
• Staying current with emerging trends and technologies in multimedia design and e-learning.
• Actively contributing to ongoing improvement and innovation initiatives.
• Ensuring personal and team compliance with Health and Safety responsibilities in line with Datacom policy.
